The batch of oil is filtered again on its way to the reactor vessel. The oil is tested and Sodium Hydroxide and Methanol are mixed according to the results. This solution is mixed continuously with the oil for an hour.
After overnight settlement, the glycerol waste product is drawn off from the bottom. This is sent away to be turned into energy and organic fertisliser.
